Sunday in the zoo

Well, the computer crashed and there went all my pictures. Will get them uploaded on the weekend. Made lasagna yesterday and it was great. It was cooler today and the trees are so beautiful in their fall colors. I am still on clue 2 for the mystery stole and 2/3 of the way on grandgirl 2's afghan. Month end is done and went without a hitch. And grandgirl 2's still got all that curly hair. Grandgirl 1 is hitting terrible 2's with a bang and well-working vocal cords.
Saw something on steeking and want to research this more. It would be wonderful to work in the round all the way to the shoulders. It is on Eunny's webpage.

Quiet 3 day weekend

A quiet 3 day weekend. What fun!! I was able to finish grandgirl 1's Halloween costume. I had to chase her yesterday to get the buttons right.

I also worked a bit on grandgirl 2's afghan. I finished 3 Halloween mats and worked on the mystery stole. I also slept and read and watched the idiot box alot. So a great weekend, and a healthy way to get ready for yet another month-end.

2 More days till MS4 first clue

2 More days till MS4's first clue!! I cannot wait. I will be at work crunching numbers, but you better believe I will check at lunch time. I may even try at break.

I have also start picking out fabric for the Inspectors Club Mystery quilt. And tomorrow I will start to cut the fabric and maybe even get some sewing done. I have 3 block clues to catch up. And with the possibility of Hanna heading towards our coast, we may get rain Saturday, so a great day for sewing. Unless my granddaughter decides to make her appearance this weekend:))

As for work, I have my month end stuff done and just have mail to catch up.

So that is the latest.

Something to chuckle about

Mystery Stole 4

This is the yarn and beads for the mystery stole group on Yahoo. The yarn is JoJoland Melody and was originally purchased for the Swirl Shawl. I frogged it when I could not get the center to work. The yarn was bought at: http://www.software4knitting.com/.


The beads were bought at our local A C Moore.
They are 6/0 and copper crystal.




And this is the swatch, done on 4 circulars (Susan
Bates). I think I will have to go up another size.
The beads are placed randomly. I am looking forward to the first clue to come out on Friday.

As for baby Leona's afghan, it is coming along.
I will get a picture of it up in the next post.

M and K is all moved in, now the unpacking is left to be done. M is waddling like a duck, poor thing.
Doc says if she doesn't have it in 2 wks they will induce. Baby Leona weighs 7 lbs 13 oz. and M is not due till the end of Sept. It ain't happening. K is not getting any sleep with Leona kicking alot.

S and P was here on Sat. P is just getting so tall. And daycare is still not her cup of tea. Maybe this week will be better.

These are my girls, the light and joy of my life. This was taken at Thanksgiving. Michelle is holding Piper, Sarah's daughter. Sarah is holding the bowl. This is my first post and not sure yet what to put in it.

I have started the new mystery stole 4 on yahoo groups. I will be using JoJoLandMelody sock yarn. I am not sure what beads yet. I went through my stash and haven't found quite what I am looking for. The color is 7-Y46. It has blues and dark red in it. I just know that navy blue beads are too dark and silver is too flashy for me and the yarn. I have to get my swatch done before the first clue comes out.

I am trying to get grandgirl to be's blanket done. She is due any day, and just may get here before I get it done. I also have on the crochet hook a sweater and when I find the pattern, I will post it.
